Downsizing and Layoffs

Monitor companies who are downsizing. These companies might be great sources of potential candidates.

1. Contact the HR departments to see if they are offering transition assistance or ask for names/resumes of the employees who were laid off.

2. Network within organization to find out the names of people who were downsized.

3. Flip search a company name to find resumes/contacts. (How To Flip Search)

4. Within a resume database perform a keyword search with the company's name. Recent resumes in the database most likely are employees who were recently downsized.
