People With Security Clearances

With the growing focus on
National Security issues, more and more companies are
winning government contracts, which require that many
employees have security clearances. Security clearances
can take anywhere from three months to two years to get
depending on the level of security needed and the depth
of the investigation. Whether a person’s position is
administrative or executive, the length of the
investigation could be the same. The clearance is based
on the security level of the project and the type of
information to which employees’ eyes may have access.
Naturally, this wait poses a challenge to the government
and all government contractors. Hiring employees that
have already been cleared dramatically reduces the
amount of time it takes for that employee to be cleared
for your specific project. However, finding candidates
with clearances without paying huge search fees is
extremely challenging.
To help reduce this challenge, a new job board called
ClearanceJobs.com www.clearancejobs.com
launched this summer. The job board, which is very
reasonably priced, is solely dedicated to matching job
seekers that have clearances with employers that are
need cleared employees.
The site offers both job postings and a resume database.
Jobs are posted for 90 days and include your company
logo. Pricing is $125 for a posting and $225 for 1 month
of resume database access. They also offer a number of
discounted posting and resume database package options
as well as priority postings. Priority postings allow
your job to be featured at the top of the search
results, regardless of the date it was posted.
The site also offers a few features not typically
offered on most job boards. First, both the jobseeker
and the employer have the opportunity to add jobs (job
seeker) or resumes (employer) to a favorites database so
they can keep a list of their top picks without
recreating the search.
A great job seeker benefit is that the site will note
when their submitted resume has been reviewed. This
helps eliminate some of the “unknowns” for the job
seeker. When they submit their resume to a position
posted on Clearancejobs.com,
they will always know if the employer has view their
credentials.
Finally, government contractors receive an added bonus
by using Clearancejobs.com.

assist you in meeting your requirements for utilizing
